Pins 4 Pedals is an organization that was established over 18 years ago by Denny and Linda Ellsworth-Moore. Our mission is to support the children of Greater Lansing by providing them with opportunities for empowerment and a brighter future through the gift of a bike. We believe that every child deserves the chance to experience the joy and freedom that comes with riding a bike. Over the years,
the committee has raised close to $500,000 and collected more than 1,200 bikes for Child and Family Charities, which offers a full-spectrum of support to over 7,000 children, youth, and families each year in the mid-Michigan area.
Linda is an experienced Realtor at Coldwell Banker Realty who believes every child deserves a fair chance in this uncertain world. This fundraiser warms her heart. She loves providing hope and healing to children in need. Linda's experience of volunteering has given her a sense of gratitude and resilience.
Denny is honored and proud to be an instrumental part of Pins 4 Pedals. He assisted in getting this organization off the ground to help at-risk children. Denny has a strong commitment of making a lasting impact by giving back to those in our community that need it most.
Lana is a dedicated, compassionate individual with a strong desire to make a difference to those in need. She believes in connecting with diverse communities to develop a deeper understanding of challenges others face.
The Moores founded Pins and Pedals more than 18 years ago, and since then, they’ve raised more than $450, 000 and hundreds of bikes for Child and Family Charities. Pins and Pedals also partners with Coldwell Banker Realty during Christmas for the Gifting Tree initiative, which provided more than $3,000 worth of gifts last year to local children. Over the years, the Moores’ work has caught the attention of many within the industry. In 2020, they earned the Good Neighbor Award from both the Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® and the Michigan REALTORS®. And in 2021, they were one of 10 finalists nominated for the National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award. While they didn’t walk away with the title, they did receive an honorable mention as well as the title of “Web Choice Favorite,” earning more than $3,000 in grant money for their charity. The Good Neighbor Awards “recognize REALTORS® who make an extraordinary impact on their communities through volunteer work.” “We were honored to be nominated alongside some very deserving REALTORS® who are all doing amazing things within their communities,” said Linda Ellsworth-Moore. “We only hope our work will continue to grow and that it will inspire others to get involved and give back.”
